The YNSA B zone

YNSA acupuncture is made up of two categories of points: YNSA Basic points and YNSA Ypsilon points.

The YNSA basic point B is located on the forehead approximately 1 cm from the midline of the face at the hairline. This point is also known as the B zone because it actually corresponds to an area about 2 cm wide x 4 mm high.

Prior to stimulating the B point or zone, the practitioner will carefully examine the scalp by touch (palpation), to determine whether there are any small hardenings or swellings within the B zone. Such swellings may feel very painful or tender to the patient. If the YNSA point tests positive, it is stimulated with a fine acupuncture needle.
